About

Translucent Development is the personal blog of David Sachdev, an agile Software Engineer and Architect, and co-owner of Innotac, Inc. based out of Washington, DC. David is also very active in the DC Web 2.0 community, and serves as a advocate for building secure applications. He is very active in the following local groups:

  • Northern Virginia Java Users Group (NovaJUG)
  • Capital Area Security Group (CapSec)
  • Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP)
  • RefreshDC
  • he has also been on the AppSecDC Program Committee for 2009 and 2010, and suggests that anyone in the Washington, DC area who is interested in Application Security join him and the rest of the security community in the nation's capital for one of the premiere security conferences. Information on Call for Papers, Traning Vendors, and Sponsors is up on the site now.

The blog is dedicated to software (web and mobile) development with an emphasis on Java, web development, a smattering of Groovy and Grails, maybe some Ruby and Rails - and always with a bend on design and security.

If you are more interested in Web and Mobile Design, please visit his other site, translucent design which is more focused on designing for mobile platforms, web design, and a little font geekiness.

You can view his LinkedIn page for more information on his experience.
